Marcel Smith is a young entrepreneur who grew up in the Metropolitan Detroit area. He was raised by a single mother who had her own business, Sabrina Jackson Enterprises.

When he was younger, Marcel had a passion for basketball. The odds were against him, however, because of his height (5'6). No matter, for he still managed to realize his dream as a Division-One Basketball Player at Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas after a successful high school career at Melvindale Academy of Business & Technology in Melvindale, Michigan. He was his class Valedictorian and led his high school team to a Class C State Championship (2010). Also, during his career at HBU, he managed to graduate early and break a few school records. He has turned his focus to changing the world one day at a time through speaking, training, business deals, and simply connecting with people.

Marcel has written his first book entitled: The Balance: A Student Athlete’s Handbook for Successfully Managing Life with Academics & Sports. He also has a non-profit organization known as Lifting Individuals Through Energy – L.I.T.E.

Marcel earned his Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and his MBA Master of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University. He has  began his professional career speaking at schools, graduations, and other events based on request. Speaking on topics such as Leadership, Team building, Perseverance, Faith & Sports, Balance, and many more . Furthermore, Marcel has joined forces with his mother to partner with rebranding efforts for Essential Colors (  and basketball training.
